About me

Having spent many years in East London and a period in New York, nature and the sea has pulled me to Dorset in the South Coast of England where I live with my husband and young children.

I am continually exploring new ways of realising my illustrations.  Linocut, woodblock, paper cut, pencil, ink, watercolour and rubber stamps all play a collaborative role in my work.  Regardless of the medium the most important thing is that the mark of my hand is present.

Most recently, I have enjoyed developing my illustrations onto handmade ceramic tiles.  This process has allowed me to see how the natural texture of the clay and my hand drawn imagery work together.

I am endlessly inspired by the natural forms I see around me, the wondrous imaginations of my young children and the beautiful countryside I live in.
