We spent yesterday at Snug Harbour on Staten Island, probably one of New York’s best kept secrets! My super talented sister Sarah is doing an Artist residency on site in their botanical gardens where she is working with the local stone serpentine. Yesterday was her open studio and it was great to see her new work up close for the first time.

If you happen to be in NY between 8th June & 14th July there will be a final exhibition of her work developed over the two months of the residency…. definitely a must see!

Since arriving in NY Ive been keen to carry on with my experiments in clay and ancient inspired pottery techniques. I made some very simple tools and I will be trying to fire my pieces in a bbq…yes a bbq!

New city means new digs! things have been a bit quiet around here on the old blog…but moving cities, finding apartments, working and making things eats up alot of time!

We love our new place and neighbourhood in Brooklyn and things are starting to feel like home.
