a few photos from here & there over the past couple of weeks…

You cant beat shapes in nature – I’m always snapping photos of unsual looking foliage…I guess its my

green thumb!

The other week my fella and I took a bike ride and did a spot of mudlarking en route to Greenwich,

we found lots of broken pottery but sadly none of these treasures

(the pouch is a mama Powell job made from African fabric and the necklace is a Rah and Rah piece

made with leftover shale & limestone beads)

Beautiful Dorset marble – sourced locally by my Dad for Rah and Rah

Expect to see the marble in all its glory when Rah and Rah launch it’s first collection in the not so

distant future!

Sarah will be documenting some of the marble making over here next week so stay tuned folks.

When Ikea or Habitat just aren’t cutting it check out the textiles at The Indian Collection

All of their textiles are handprinted with blocks, hand woven or tie dyed in villages by craftsmen who

use skills that have been handed down for generations.

Their main objective: to keep these dying crafts alive in the villages of India

# 1 large windows so I can hang those cheap bamboo blinds like Jimmy Stewart has in Rear Window

# 2 old radiators that steam and hiss

# 3 parquet flooring so I can drop my spaghetti and mop it right up

Back in December I got busy with my scissors and set to work on a special project that’s been on my

to-do list for a while. Mobile inspiration came from Man Ray, Alexander Calder and Art Smith.

a few weeks ago I travelled home to my folks house for some r&r. Whenever I have some spare time

in between projects I always try to take a trip back to the old neighborhood for inspiration,

good food and old haunts.
